You can find some of the work I did as part of UH Mānoa’s Ethnomathematics program on Geogebra and Desmos
These lesson materials on the history of the Pythagorean Theorem were developed with support from the NCTM 2018-2019 Professional Development grant
I did a silly video on the difference between surface area vs. volume during emergency learning
Mathematical
My most recent completed research project, in collaboration with Dusty Ross and Patrick O’Melveny, focuses on using the geometry of mixed volumes to prove log-concavity of characteristic polynomials of matroids.
You can also find an expanded version of the background and mixed volume sections in my thesis.
I am participating in several projects started in the Intensive Research Program in Combinatorial Geometries and Geometric Combinatorics and am leading a project focused on matroid properties of line arrangements arising from intersections of complete flags started during the 2025 Graduate Research Workshop in Combinatorics
I explored hypergraph decompositions and presented on the lambda-fold spectrum problem as part of the Illinois State REU

I was one of the math department’s graduate student representatives during the 2024-2025 academic year
I was part of the leadership team for the Mathematistas at SF State for the 2021-2022 academic year
I share some of my thoughts about ethnomathematics on the ethnomathematics blog and TODOS podcast
